'Galway' Joe Dolan

Called "Galway", to distinguish him from his more famous namesake from Mullingar, Joe Dolan was a founder member of 60's folk group, Sweeny's Men , which were founded in his home town in 1966. Dolan left the band the following year to participate in the Six Day War in the Middle East. One anecdote says his was killed there, though another more reliable source states that he arrived on the seventh day.
