1920 Atlantic hurricane season

The 1920 Atlantic hurricane season was an ongoing event in the annual cycle of tropical cyclone formation. It officially began on June 1, 1920 and ended on November 30, 1920.

The 1920 season was a below average season with only four tropical cyclones forming in the Atlantic Basin. All of them were hurricanes but none reached major hurricane status (Category 3 or above). A Category 2 struck Central America and Cozumel, Mexico as a tropical storm and made landfall near Dulac, Louisiana. A Category 1 struck Cape Fear, North Carolina and a tropical storm struck Cedar Key, Florida. The strongest storm of the season was the first one to form. It was another Category 2 that stayed well out to sea.
