Aash Al Maleek

Aash Al Maleek (Long Live Our Beloved King) is the national anthem of Saudi Arabia. It praises God and asks that he will grant the King of Saudi Arabia long life. The words of the song were written by Ibrahim Khafaji (b. 1935) and the music was by Abdul Rahman Al-Khateeb (b. 1923). It was adopted as the national anthem in 1950.

Aash Al Maleek Lelalam Walwatan.
Hasten to glory and supremacy!
Glorify the Creator of the heavens
And raise the green, fluttering flag,
Carrying the emblem of Light!
Repeat - God is greatest!
O my country,
My country, may you always live,
The glory of all Moslems!
Long live the King,
For the flag and the country!
