Abegweit is a Mi'kmaq First Nation on Prince Edward Island, Canada, with its headquarters in Scotchfort , outside Charlottetown. The band has three reserves at its disposal: Morell Rear Reserve 2 , Rocky Point Reserve 3 , and Scotchfort Reserve 4 . The Abegweit First Nation, along with the Lennox Island First Nation , are the only First Nations in the province.

Abegweit is also (not coincidentally) the widely known anglicization of Epikwetk, the original Mi'kmaq word for Prince Edward Island.
