Ad Daqahliyah is an Egyptian governorate lying northeast of Cairo. Its area is about 6,000 km² and it has a popuation of about 5 million. The capital of Ad Daqahliyah is al-Mansurah and the other major towns are Mit Ghamr , Bilqas , and Manzalah .
