The Aid to Bible Understanding was a Bible encyclopedia published by the Jehovah's Witnesses, now out of print and superceded by the larger and more up to date work Insight on the Scriptures. The 'Aid book', as it was called, has 1696 pages and contains full color maps on its end sheets and some black and white illustrations in with the text. The first volume, covering A-D, and part of E, was released on July 9, 1969, at the “Peace on Earth” International Assembly of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Members of the Jehovah's Witnesses from over 90 countries contributed research for the encyclopedia.
