Alan II, Duke of Brittany

Alan II of Vannes (died 952), was count of Vannes and Nantes and duke of Brittany, from 936 to his death. He became ruler of Brittany after a 33 year interregnum from the death of his maternal grand-father Duke Alan, the Great. He was succeeded by Drogo. During his rule, Alan II had to defend Brittany from Norman invasions.
