Alapli

Alapli ( in Turkish, Alaplı with an un-dotted i ) is a town in Zonguldak province, Turkey on the shore of the Black Sea. It is the western-most town in Zonguldak and is located about 15km south of Karadeniz Eregli.

Alaplı is situated at the mouth of the Alaplı River. It is an ancient town known in the Hellenic period as Kale.

There is a large statue of Atatürk on the seafront at Alaplı .
