Alberto Guerrero


Alberto Guerrero (6 February 18867 November 1959) was a ChileanCanadian composer, pianist, and teacher, perhaps now best remembered as a mentor of Canadian pianist Glenn Gould. Prior to his emigration to Canada, Guerrero founded and conducted Santiago's first symphony orchestra. For many years a distinguished faculty member of the Toronto Conservatory of Music, Guerrero also maintained an active schedule as a performer.
