All the Little Animals is a 1999 drama movie, directed by Jeremy Thomas . It is based on the novel of the same name by Walker Hamilton .
Plot outline
The film centers around a mentally challenged man called Bobby (Played by Bale). He runs away from home in order to escape his abusive stepfather (Played by Benzali), who had been killing Bobby's pets one by one. He finds himself in woodland, eventually meeting an old man (Played by Hurt), who spends his time protecting animals from vehicles on a highway, and giving burials to those which had
been killed. Bobby inevitably becomes friends with the old man, both of them united in fear of Bobby's stepfather.
Tagline: On this earth, in this land, We are all here for a reason.
