Amaravati

In Hinduism, Amaravati (అమరావతి) is the capital of Svarga, a temporary paradise where the dead live. It is ruled by Indra and located on Mt. Meru.

Amaravati is small town on the banks of river Krishna near Guntur City in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

There is a buddhist monastery called Amaravati near London. It is near the Berkhamsted area.

Amaravati is also the name of a web site created and maintained by linguist Dr. Marc Miyake.
