Amenemope (1100 BCE) was a "wise man" who lived in Egypt around 1100 B.C.E. He lived in Akhim which was located on the East side of the Nile in the upper region of Egypt.
His discourses resembled that of a father telling his son how to live the good life.
Although his discourses are unique, they share common themes with other wisdom literature of other cultures surrounding Eqypt (Babylonian, and Hebrew/Jewish i.e Proverbs and Ecclsiastes)
