American College of Physicians

The American College of Physicians (ACP) is the largest medical specialty society in the United States of America with over 115,000 members. Members include medical students and physicians in general internal medicine and the various subspecializations of internal medicine.

Associates of the American College of Physicians are those who are currently in an accrediated postgraduate program of internal medicine, medicine/pediatrics, or in a fellowship of a subspecialty of internal medicine.

Fellows of the American College of Physicians (FACP) are those members who are recognized by their peers for personal integrity, superior competence, professional achievement, and scholarship.

Affiliate membership can be given to fellow members of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).

The ACP publishes the journal Annals of Internal Medicine.
