Anarchist Federation (US)

The Anarchist Federation was a broad organization of anarchists and syndicalists, founded in 1960 in the United States.

The group became widely known during the Vietnam War protests for its prominent members, including Murray Bookchin, Walter Coughey and Noam Chomsky. It also founded a militant youth section, the Resurgence Youth Movement .

The Federation fell apart in the early 1970s with splits over whether it should engage in violent or only non-violent resistance.
