Brigadier General Antonio Rodriguez Balinas was a 1st Lt. in "F" Co, of the 65th Infantry, 3rd Infantry Div. in the U.S. Army.
Near Sorgyon-Myon,Korea, on December 23, 1951 1st Lt. Antonio Rodriguez Balinas fearlessly walked through a lethal hail of enemy fire directly toward the hostile bunker of the enemy, hurled his hand grensdes and singlehandedly completely destroyed the position and its occupants.
Among his numerous awards are two Silver Star medals. 1st Lt.Antonio Rodriguez Balinas eventually reached the rank of Brigadier General before retiring.
