Arendsee is a place in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is also a lake.

Geography

The city is located in Altmark in the southern bank of the Arendsee. It is 23 m above sea level. The area is 5.14 kmē. Its depth is 49.5 m. It is the largest natural lake in Saxony-Anhalt. It lies over the top of a crystal-like bed and was developed by breaking down into crystals. It is connected with the Elbe river.
