Arj Barker

Arj Barker (born August 12, 1974) is a stand-up comedian from California. His style is unique and extremely well received by the comedy fans in the United States, Europe, Australia, and many other parts of the world. He has performed on the David Letterman, Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O'Brien and Bill Maher shows in the U.S. and various venues in Europe and Australia. NBC has put him in a lead role for Nearly Nirvana , a sitcom scheduled for fall 2004. Here are some quotes from the media:

"A gentle wingnut loved by the ladies for his cherubic face and Britpop stylings, Barker seems to be in a prennial state of relaxed amusement about showbiz, and life in general" San Francisco Chronicle

"Slick, talented and completely in control" - The Times, Scotland

"Criminally talented" - The Herald, Glasgow

"A true alchemist who takes observations and transmutes them into comedy gold... There is no way he can avoid being a megastar" - Independent on Sunday, London

" But what makes Barker standout from his "D'ja ever notice..." contemporaries are two special qualties-a genuine warmth and a dramatic agilty that lets him slip effotlessly into characters and voices" Indiawest

The Marijuana-logues , written and performed by Arj Barker, Doug Benson , and Tony Camin , is an off-Broadway hit in New York.
