Arts Council of Ireland

The Arts Council of Ireland is a government funded body which promotes art in the Republic of Ireland. It was founded in 1951, and is currently headed by Olive Braiden. It provides grants to artists, as well as funding arts-related events directly. It also funds the artists' organization Aosdána.
