Asian Cup 1972

The 1972 Asian Cup was the fifth edition of the Asian Nations Cup, the football (soccer) championship of Asia (AFC). It was hosted by Thailand. The field of six teams was split into two groups of three. Iran repeated as champions, beating South Korea in the final 2-1.
