Asylum Records

Asylum Records was started in 1971 by David Geffen.

Acquired by Warner Communications and merges with Elektra Records. In 1975 David Geffen resigns as director to go into the movie business. Asylum stops opperating in 1989, but is re-activated in 1992 as a country label
