Bac Kan (in Vietnamese, Bắc Kạn), occasionally spelled Bac Can, is a Province of Vietnam. It is located in the north of the country, due north of the capital Hanoi.

Politically, Bac Ninh is divided into six districts: Ba Be, Bach Thong, Cho Don, Cho Moi, Na Ri, and Ngan Son. The provincial capital, also known as Bac Kan , is a separate municipality.

Bac Kan is a mountainous province, and has considerable natural resources (particularly in mining and forestry). The province also generates a certain amount of tourism, with the mountains, rivers, and lakes of Bac Kan being considered quite scenic. Ba Be lake is a particularly popular destination.
