Bafut

Bafut is a town in Cameroon, lying north of Bamenda. It was long the centre of the most important local kingdom of the Tikar people. It is known for its palace, home to a museum, for its regular festival, and as where Gerald Durrell wrote The Bafut Beagles . The Savanna Botanic Gardens lie near the town.
