Balta

Balta is an uninhabited island in Shetland, Scotland, lying east of Unst and the Balta Sound . It has an area of 0.8 km².

Attractions on the island include a ruined broch and a ruined Norse chapel. An early concrete lighthouse was built in 1895, but was demolished in 2003 and replaced by a small solar powered light.
