Bard's Tale III

The Bard's Tale III: Thief of Fate is a 1990 computer game. It is the second sequel of The Bard's Tale. Unlike Bard's Tale II it is again set in the city of Skara Brae and continues the plot of the first game: The mad god Tarjan has destroyed Skara Brae. The player has to visit various alternate dimensions and collect artifacts of power with which to eventually destroy the mad god.

The game featured several improvements over its predecessor; the most notable included a much improved user interface and a graphical auto-mapping system for the dungeons in the game. It also featured two new character classes (geomancer and chronomancer ) and was again much larger in scope than the previous titles in the series.
