Beit Din

A Beit Din is a Jewish court of law comprised of three Jews. This court is convened most often in modern times in order to determine whether or not a prospective convert is ready to enter the Covenant of the Jewish people. At least one member of the court must be a Rabbi who is an expert on the laws of conversion.
