Bellatrix (γ Ori / γ Orionis / Gamma Orionis) is the third brightest star in the constellation Orion and one of the brightest stars in the nighttime sky.

The name Bellātrix is Latin for "Amazon" (female warrior). It is also known as the Amazon Star.
