Brent Butt (Born: August 3, 1966) is a Canadian comedian and writer, born in Tisdale, Saskatchewan, who is most famous for his role as Brent LeRoy on the series Corner Gas, a series he created which airs on CTV in Canada. The series was an instant hit on Canadian TV when it debuted in early 2004; its second season launched in October 2004. Butt was one of several cast members who travelled across Canada to promote the series during the fall of 2004, pumping free gasoline at service stations.

Brent has also done several standup performances for both the CBC radio series Definitely Not the Opera and the Comedy Network in Canada. His prairie oriented comedy and occasional "folkish" song compositions (such as the now classic "Nothing Rhymes with Saskatchewan") have entertained audiences across Canada.
