Calf of Eday

The Calf of Eday is an island in Orkney, Scotland, lying north east of Eday. From the seventeenth to the nineteenth centuries, it was home to a salt works, remains of which can still be seen.

The island is also home to three large chambered cairns and remains of prehistoric houses, as well as over thirty species of birds and a lighthouse.
