Candice Atherton

Candice (Candy) Atherton (born 21 September 1955) is the British Member of Parliament for Falmouth and Camborne. She is a member of the Labour Party and is most active in protecting the dolphins, foxes, and Cornish identity of her constituency. Her Liberal Democrat shadow is Julia Goldworthy , and her Conservative Party shadow is Ashley Crossley . In January 2005 she became embrolied in a dirty tricks scandal which involved her allegedly asking her assistant Paul Phillips to dig up dirt on Crossley with the aim of having him de-selected. Phillips resigned and took Atherton before the employment tribunal board, claiming her actions were homophobic.
