Cape May

Cape May is the northern cape of Delaware Bay along the Atlantic coast of the United States. It lies within the state of New Jersey.

The town of Cape May Point, New Jersey occupies the southernmost tip of Cape May.

Cape May is a popular tourist town due to its unique victorian architecture and its beautiful, but crowded, beaches.

The town has a rich history dating back to its founding in 1620 by a Dutch captian named Cornelius Jacobsen Mey . It became a popular seaside resort in the 18th century and was considered one of the finest resorts in America by the 19th century.

Cape May was designated as a National Historic Landmark City in 1976, which mandates that all its Victorian architecture must remain unchanged.
