Catalanic

Catalanic, also called Judæo-Catalan, is the Jewish language spoken by the Jewish communities of northeastern Spain, especially in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands. Linguistically, it shares many features in common with Shuadit (Judæo-Provençal), although historically, ethnically and politically, the Catalanic-speaking community has long been separated from the Shuadit-speaking community. Today, Catalanic survives only vestigially in the speech of the many Crypto-Jewish communities of northeastern Spain and the Balearic islands.
