This category is for stars that lie in a named IAU constellation. This includes stars that makes up the constellation pattern, and stars that occupy the celestial area defined by the IAU, but do not make up the pattern of a constellation.

Notes

1. Some Bayer and Flamsteed star designations may have different genitives from the constellation in which they lie. This is because the IAU defined constellations as areas of the sky are different from what Bayer and Flamsteed used.
2. The Sun does not lie in any constellation
