Charles Kingston, (October 22 1850 - May 11 1908) Australian politician, was Premier of South Australia between June 16 1893 and December 1 1899. A strong advocate of a White Australia and opponent of Chinese immigration, Kingston was involved in the framing of the White Australia Policy, which would not be revoked until the 1960s.

Kingston was elected to the first House of Representatives in 1901 and was the first Federal member for the Division of Adelaide, elected in 1903

Kingston is considered to be an Australian founding father and appears as a small face on the new Australian $5 bill. The Australian Electoral Division of Kingston is named after Kingston.
