Chew Magna

Chew Magna is a village in North East Somerset, near the south of Bristol. It has around 1,200 residents. To the south of the town is Chew Valley Lake. The River Chew flows through the village.

The village is about 10 miles from Bristol, 15 miles from Bath and 13 miles from the city of Wells. It is just on the northern edge of the Mendip Hills (a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and is in the general area known as the Chew Valley. The village is a conservation area which has meant that Chew Magna has retained its character, friendliness and quiet charm.
