Cindy Wilson

Cindy Wilson, born Cynthia Leigh Wilson on February 28th 1957. She was part of the most enduring group of the alternative era, The B-52's. She began her career as a waitress in her home state, Georgia, USA. Cindy is well known for wearing sky high blonde bee-hive wigs, which were familiar in the 1960's when pop singers like Dusty Springfield and Petula Clark wore them. Her singing voice is particularly stong and melodic, with a profound ability to touch a deep emotional chord in the listener. She is also skilled in singing in harmony with other musicians, particularly as demonstrated with Kate of the B-52's.
