Control panel

A control panel is a flat, typically vertical, area where control or monitoring instruments are displayed. They are typically found in complex pieces of engineering, such as nuclear power plants, ships, aircraft, etc.

Also, in Microsoft Windows operating systems, the Control Panel is where various computer settings can be modified (see Windows Control Panel).
