Cuman language

Cuman language was a Turkic language spoken by the Cumans similar to today's Crimean Tatar language. It is documented in several medieval works, including the Codex Cumanicus.

The Cumans were a nomad people that lived in the steppes of Eastern Europe, north of Black Sea before the Golden Horde. They have been incorporated into other Turkic peoples: Crimean Tatars, Kazan Tatars, Karachays.
