Dandelion Wine is a novel by Ray Bradbury, taking place in the summer of 1928. The title is a metaphor for packing all of the joys of summer into a single bottle. Most of the book is not traditional science-fiction, though there is a sequence about an inventor that creates a device that allows the user to mentally travel anyplace in the world. But most of the book is focused upon the routines of small-town America, and the simple joys of rural life.
