Danube school

(Redirected from Danubian School)

The Danube School (German:Donauschule or Donaustil) is the name of a circle of painters of the first third of the 16th century in Bayern and Austria (also along the Danube valley).

Among the most important painters are Albrecht Altdorfer, Wolf Huber , Jörg Breu the Elder and Rueland Frueauf the Younger . Occasionally, we can also add Lucas Cranach the Elder.
