David Canary

David Canary (born 25 August 1938 in Elwood, Indiana) is an American actor.

Canary first came to prominence in 1967 when he was cast in the role of Candy on the Western series Bonanza. In 1981, he assumed the role of Steve Frame on the soap opera Another World; George Reinholt had vacated the role six years earlier. He left AW in 1983.

That same year, he joined the cast of All My Children in the role of Adam Chandler. The following year, he was also cast as Adam's twin brother, Stuart Chandler. He has appeared in the series since. He has won five Daytime Emmy Awards for outstanding lead actor, and has been nominated an additional ten times.

In 2005 the cast of All My Children has submitted his name as a pre-nomination for consideration in the 32nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
