Drinska banovina

The Drinska banovina was one of the chief provinces of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. The capital was Sarajevo. The Yugoslavian banovinas were intentionally not related to ethnic boundaries. It was named after the river Drina.

The Drinska banovina was created in 1929, and ceased to exist along with the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in 1941. It included portions of modern day Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.
