Essa, Ontario

Essa is a township west and south of the city of Barrie in the County of Simcoe. It is bounded by County Road 90 to its north, County Road 27 to its east, Highway 89 to its south . The township is about 100 kilometers distant from Toronto . The main communities of this township are Angus , Thornton and Baxter . Other small hamlets are West Essa . Elmgrove , Cedargrove , Egbert, Ontario, Ivy and Utopia Much of CFB Borden, Canada's largest military training base is located in the north-west corner of the township adjacent to Angus
