Explorer of the Seas is a 138,000-ton cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean International. It can handle up to 3114 guests, including scientists making use of a built-in atmospheric and oceanographic laboratory operated by the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, which is part of the University of Miami.
