This is a list of the extreme points of Europe, the points that are farther north, south, east or west than any other location on the continent. Europe is sometimes described as stretching from Europa Point (the southernmost point of Gibraltar) to North Cape (the northernmost point of the inshore islands of Europe).

Europe

• Westernmost Point — Bjargtangar, Iceland (24°32'W) ¹
• Easternmost Point — Cape Zhelaniya , Severny, Novaya Zemlya, Russia (68°33'E) ²

Europe (mainland)

• Northernmost Point — Cape Nordkinn, Norway (71°10'N)
• Southernmost Point — Punta de Tarifa, Spain (36°01'N)
• Westernmost Point — Cabo da Roca, Portugal (9°30'W)
• Easternmost Point — Ural Mountains near Salekhard, Russia ²

¹ If the Azores are included as part of Europe, Flores is the westernmost part of the continent.

² The eastern border of Europe is arbitrarily defined and is subject to many differing interpretations.
