Eynhallow

Eynhallow is a small island, part of the Orkney Islands Scotland. It lies between the two islands of Mainland and Rousay in what is known as the Eynhallow Sound. It has been uninhabited since suffering as part of the Highland Clearances in 1851.

The island's main attraction is a church dating from the twelfth century or earlier, and perhaps originally part of a monastery. It is also a bird sanctuary.

It has its own folklore, concerning the initial finding of the island.
