Such as the Olympic Games and other major competitions, the FIFA World Cup has its own mascot. World Cup Willy was the first mascot, and one of the first mascots to appear at big competitions.
Like what happens with the Olympic mascot, the World Cup mascot is mostly targeted at a younger audience, with cartoon TV shows and merchandise released at the same time as the World Cup.
