The Flag of Palestine was adopted November 15, 1988. It displays red, the color of Arab nationalism, and green, the color of Islam. All four of these colors are known as the Pan-Arab colors.

The flag is constituted of three equal horizontal stripes (black, white and green from top to bottom) overlaid by a red isosceles triangle issuing from the hoist and reaching one third of the way to the fly.
