Four Rooms

Four Rooms is a 1995 film. It features an anthology of stories set in a Los Angeles hotel on New Years Eve. Tim Roth stars as the principal character of the frame tale; he also takes part to a greater or lesser degree in the four stories, which feature Bruce Willis, Quentin Tarantino, Antonio Banderas and Madonna, among others.

The movie was directed by Allison Anders , Alexandre Rockwell , Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino with each of them directing one segment of the film.

Synopsis

Honeymoon Suite - The Missing Ingredient

The segment introduces the lead character Teddy the bellhop working in a hotel on New Years Eve. Teddy walks in on a coven of witches in the honeymoon suite brewing a potion to reverse a spell placed on their goddess 40 years ago. Each witch places an ingredient into the potion during a ritual however the missing ingredient is semen, and Eva is given the job of seducing Teddy for their plans to continue.

Room 404 - The Wrong Man

  • Written and directed by Alexandre Rockwell

Teddy is called for room service and accidentally finds himself in room 404 in the middle of fantasy hostage situation between a husband and wife. He is immediately mistaken for a hired male escort as Teddy mistakes the fantasy situation as a real one.

Room 309 - The Misbehavers

A husband and wife plan to go out for New Years Eve with their two children before they decide they would have more 'fun' leaving the children in the hotel. Teddy is paid 500 dollars to keep an eye on the children as the father gives them the firm warning not to misbehave. After the children try to take advantage of Teddy's responsibility, they find a needle in the room and drink a whole bottle of champagne, which unfolds into a series of misbehaviour.

Penthouse - The Man from Hollywood

Teddy is called to the penthouse, being occupied by the famous director Chester Rush and friends, with a block of wood, bucket of ice and a hatchet. After getting acquainted Chester proposes 1000 dollars to Teddy to take part in a game that re-enacts an old Alfred Hitchcock episode.
