Francis Glenn Adney (July 9, 1902- December 10?, 1983), a musician, was the only son of Minnie Bell Sharp and Edwin Tappan Adney.

He attended Woodstock High School , graduating in 1919. He graduated from McGill University in Montreal during the spring of 1923, being awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics.

He played in a small group of musicians known as Glenn Adney and the Purple Jackets.

He was caricatured by cartoonist LeMessurier in the Montreal Daily Star .

He married Margaret Isobel Robertshaw in April of 1931. They had a daughter, Joan Margaret Adney , usually known as Joan Dragon .

He worked for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in New York City as an actuary from 1933 to 1966.

His wife died in 1972.

He died in New Jersey, possibly on December 10 in 1983.
