His Eminence Francisco Cardinal Álvarez Martínez (born July 14, 1925 in Santa Eulalia de Ferroñes Llanera , Spain) is the former archbishop of the Spanish see of Toledo and a cardinal in the Roman Catholic Church.

Three months short of his 80th birthday, Cardinal Álvarez Martínez will still be eligible to vote in the 2005 papal conclave.
